Dear Parents,

I wanted you to be aware that Capitol View will be affected by the Register’s Great Annual Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI). Walnut Street will be closed on Wednesday, July 24th. In addition, we may start to see some congestion during dismissal on Tuesday, July 23rd. I would like to ask you to do all you can to reduce the automobile traffic to school on July 24th and the afternoon of July 23rd. Please walk your children to and from school or carpool with others if at all possible. In addition, we need your patience and understanding as you drop off and pick up children during these times. Things may be slow and congested but the safety of your children is our main concern. Thanks in advance for your help.

In addition, Capitol View serves breakfast from 7:40-8:00. If your children are eating breakfast they may arrive at 7:40. If they eat breakfast at home they should not arrive until 8:05. I appreciate your help in adhering to this arrival time.
