Academic Olympics

We are celebrating our own gold medalists here at Capitol View!   Four times a year third, fourth and fifth grade students take a reading test on the computer called the SRI (Scholastic Reading Inventory).  After reading short passages and answering questions each child receives a Lexile Level.  If the student was proficient on the test they had their picture taken and an Olympic style READ poster was created at Heartland AEA to celebrate their achievement.  Additional pictures will be taken and posted for students that show growth of at least 100 points on the SRI.  The next SRI test will be in May.  We’re going for GOLD here at Capitol View!!
