Welcome to Capitol View’s New Web Site

Welcome to the new online home for Capitol View Elementary School.

In fact, Capitol View is one of the first schools to take part in a district-wide project to upgrade and improve all school web sites in Des Moines. This article is to let you know about some of the new features of the site and how we hope this will be an important tool for our community in the future.

First, we now have a new address that is simpler, shorter, and easier to remember, making it easier for everyone to find our school online: capitolview.dmschools.org.

Second, the new design is cleaner, simpler and better organized, and allows us to more prominently feature news, events and announcements on the home page.

Third, in the Classrooms section, it is set up for that our teachers can tell a little bit about themselves, their classes, and include links to any web sites they may be using in conjunction with their class.

Fourth, the new web site is easy to update and organize with new content and pages. If, at any time, you have ideas for items that may be useful to add, please pass them along to be considered.

 Finally, the new school web sites are also better connected with the rest of the school district. At the very top of every new school web site will be a menu bar to connect you directly to other schools or district offices.

 We hope you enjoy our new web site and find it to be a good source of information about our school.
