Day of Action in 3rd Grade

Today Capitol View participated in the Read Learn Succeed day sponsored by John Deere, Pioneer and United Way. All 3rd grade students received the nonfiction book,  Seed Soil Sun. They worked on vocabulary, read the text, did a food card sort, and planned what they would plant in their very own garden. We hosted volunteers from Principal Financial Group, Principal Global Investors, and the Rotary Club of Greater Des Moines. It was a wonderful hour full of engaged learners and volunteers who appreciated working with our students!
